Design Intern Needed

Plaid Again is a small design studio with big ambitions for the future. As we grow, we’re always looking for the next generation of creative talent. If you are still in school, or just starting out, we would love to connect with you.

This internship position would be exposing you to the way creative studios operate, there would be some “fly on the wall” shadowing in meetings, but eventually you will be working directly with our clients, on billable design work, tracking your hours, and reporting directly to the Principal Creative.

General Requirements

  1. You will need to provide your own computer and the software necessary for your job function.

  2. You will need an Adobe Creative Cloud account, with proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat, FireFly, and Figma.

  3. Excellent file management skills, with working knowledge of online storage and project management software.

  4. Phenomenal time management and time tracking.

Time Commitment — This has a little wiggle room, but ideally we’re looking for someone who can dedicate at least 8–16 hours a week. The number of hours would depend on our active clients, project types, and workload volume. All hours must be tracked in a spreadsheet that is shared with the principal creative and will be evaluated weekly (IE: Any time spent on client work needs to be tracked so those hours are billed back to the client). However, this is something that we would be able to set for certain durations so the work is steady.

Working Remotely — All freelance positions are fully remote, but we would love it if we could occasionally meet up. So bonus points if you live in the SF Bay Area, but not a requirement.

Compensation — Pay range starts at $25/hr with an opportunity to go up quickly based on performance.

Legal Requirements — You must be authorized to work in the United States (e.g., U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or holder of a valid work permit) and be able to provide documentation to verify your eligibility. We are unable to sponsor visas or hire individuals without valid U.S. work authorization.

Still in school? — That’s perfectly okay. As long as you’re ready for the time commitment and can deliver high quality work within project timelines
