Tracing the tracks of a killer

This is the intersection of Washington & Cherry in San Franicsco. This is where the Zodiac killed Paul Lee Stine, a San Francisco taxi cab driver, on Oct. 11th, 1969. From the windows in the upper right side of this photo is where the teenagers had witnessed the murder, and called the police.

I’m obsessed with true crime. This might be something that is genetic seeing how I know my mother and father are/were also. And the more I learn about the facts surrounding the Zodiac murders from the late 1960′s, I found myself on my bike sitting right where he had been, 40 years ago.

It all started with research online and watching the movie (Zodiac), then, just to reaffirm my lameness I rode over to Green Apple books….

And got the book. I’m already a third of the way through it. Now… for reasons I can’t explain, I want to ride my bike out to Lake Herman Road where Zodiac claimed his first three victims. Its a small stretch of road just east of San Francisco.

The Zodiac was never apprehended. The case remains open to this day.
