Metro Skate Shop in pleasant hill, CA had a skate contest today best trick style…

I rode out with Joey and shrewgy from Ace Trucks.

The contest was on this QP. It’s a rad little thing… Super fun.
1st place - Rat Face
2nd place - Frank the Tank
3rd place - I can’t remember. (sorry dude)

The show was a jam.

All three of these notes were taped to my little GS250 that I had last year. San Francisco “home owners” have a problem with where you park a motorcycle. This first note was from parking right behind the skate shop.

This was from 25th & Bryant. Pretty much everyone that lives on that corner is a dick head, and I dont miss parking over there at all.

Born Free is a motorcycle show in Long Beach, CA hosted by the good fellas over at Born Loser. My roommate Mike and I decided to roll down the coast and look as some bad ass bikes. Four of us met up and left the Bay area and headed south. Mike took his 1973 shovelhead (we call “The Black & Orange”)…

Ben was on his Chopper. This baby hit the road only a week before we took off…

Darrin was rollin on his Shovel…

Then me on my bike. The Grocery Getter.

After we packed up the bikes it was time to hit the road.

Ok, so as we made are way down 101 south we hit a few snags. Darrin lost all power in his bike and died in Santa Barbara. Without a tow the only option we had left was to sleep in the parking lot were it died… so we did.

The next day we got up, rented a uhaul for Darrin’s bike, then made our way to Long Beach. Just as we got to our exit Ben starts having problems with his bike (#2 down). The second we got to the show he started taking it apart and tried to work it out right there…

We finally made it… The Born Free Motorcycle show.

But, it turns out… we weren’t the only people that decided to go. Weird…

The Born Loser boys built this beauty and raffled it off. Only 1000 raffle tickets were sold at $25. I didnt win.

The Loser Machine guys have a bike too. And its f*ckin sweet.

This was Max’s little corner.

All I know about this bike is Max built it… nice work dude.

This machine (aka The Crystal Meth) was Arguably the best bike at the show…

This panhead was my personal favorite at the show.

Sunday morning Mike and I got up at 7am to start back to SF. We were SO CLOSE… but Mike broke down just south of Gilroy, 90 miles south of San Francisco. His muffler came off and I almost ran it over, I kicked it to the side of the road, and we pulled off. He got a tow and I rode the rest of the way solo. But, we all made it back safe one way or another.

Got back from Long Beach last night, got up this morning and headed straight for robs garage (aka the man cave, aka the Lowcard print factory). I’m here every Monday printing all if lowcards single color tees.

I found myself contemplating suicide at the Fell street DMV the other day. It smells like the place was mopped with some urine & coffee mixture. Then pack the place with people who look as if they have completely givin up on life, at 8am. That place is pure pain…
