The National Harbor
Mom, Greg and myself all went to the new National Harbor yesterday. If you live around DC and havent gone yet I full suggest it, Its super nice. They moved this massive statue from somewhere else in DC to the harbor’s beach front. I think it really adds some serious “bad-ass-ness” to the new zone. I’d LOVE to go again when I’m not worried about hypothermia…
This second photo is of a model that the architects had built that was on display in a window on street level.

is that in the Ft. Washington area. I know they were supposed to be doing a lot of upscaling in that area right before I moved south.

That statue is called “The Awakening” and it was located in Hains Point at Potomac Park in DC for 27 years. I was amazed when I saw it at National Harbor the 1st time I went. - read - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Awakening_(sculpture)
